We would like to reassure our guests that extra special measures have been taken to allay any worries that you may have about staying in our properties due to new challenges imposed on us by the Covid-19 pandemic.
We want you to continue to visit knowing that you feel comfortable and safe and have a worry free holiday. With that in mind, we have taken extra precautions with increased cleaning and disinfecting.
Sorry to announce that some of the little extras that make your stay more enjoyable may be removed such as books, games, dvds, cds, bed runners, cushions etc. until we feel it is safe to reintroduce them. Wherever possible we may be able to rotate certain items where items are bagged/boxed, taken away and stored securely for 72 hours. Or whether any items can be wiped, cleaned and disinfected at changeover. You may wish to bring some of your own items instead.
· Cleaning disinfectant: We are using disinfectant that has been tested to European Standards BS EN 14476. According to this standard it is effective against enveloped viruses which includes coronaviruses.
· Air circulation: all windows and doors will be left open during servicing to keep things fresh and safe.
· Bed linen and towels: to be washed at the recommended high temperature by a professional laundry company.
· Cleaning staff: cleaning staff will be educated on safe hygiene methods and equipped with personal protection.
· Meet and Greet: There will be no meet and greet unless you specifically request this service. You will be advised of the arrival procedure a few days before your holiday commences. You will be asked to contact us once you have settled into the property and we will answer any questions that you may have.
· Arrival and Departure Times: these times have now been revised to allow for extra time for cleaning and disinfecting of the property. Arrival time 4 p.m. and departure time is no later than 10 a.m. However earlier arrival times may be available and it is advised that you contact us the day before for an update.
· Guest Comment Book: this will be removed and any comments regarding your stay can be forwarded to us in an email.
· Bed linen, towels, tea towels, bath mats: We ask that you strip the beds on departure of pillow cases, sheets, duvet covers [do not turn inside out]. Do not remove mattress protectors or pillow protectors. We will remove these items separately. Place in laundry bags provided, tie the bags securely and leave in hall. Please also provide us with a list of the items in each bag. Place towels, bathmats and tea towels in a separate laundry bag and tie securely. If possible, please leave all upstair windows open on departure.
· Hairdryers: for hygiene purposes it is suggested that guests bring their own hairdryers until further notice.
· Welcome tray: fresh fruit will no longer be provided. Items from the welcome tray will be individually wrapped.
· Testing for Covid-19:
The following document will be displayed within the cottage: “What
you need to do if you fall ill with COVID-19 symptoms whilst visiting.”
